LN Cash is reader-supported. Some of the links on this site are affiliate or sponsored links. The rules below explain exactly how that works.

What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link sends a referral identifier to a provider (a Lightning wallet, a payment processor, a hardware-wallet manufacturer). If you click the link and sign up, LN Cash may receive a commission. The price you pay does not change.

On LN Cash, every affiliate link is routed through /go/[partner]/[slug]. These redirects are not indexed by search engines and are marked rel="nofollow sponsored". The destination of each redirect is logged in our public data file and may be reviewed at any time.

What "sponsored" means

A sponsored placement is content that a provider has paid LN Cash to publish or feature. Sponsored placements are always labeled with a clearly visible Sponsored tag at the top of the relevant section.

Editorial reviews — our wallet reviews, processor reviews, and comparison pages — are not sponsored. We may receive affiliate commissions from them, but we do not accept payment for placement, ranking, or positive treatment.

How affiliate relationships affect (and don't affect) recommendations

LN Cash recommends tools based on:

• How well the tool matches the reader's use case.
• Custody model fit.
• Country availability.
• Pricing transparency.
• Long-term durability.

Affiliate commission rates do not enter the recommendation. If we believe a tool without an affiliate program is the right answer for a given user, we recommend it. BTCPay Server, for example, is open-source and pays no commission — and is frequently our recommendation for self-hosted merchants regardless.

What we will never do

• Hide that a link is affiliate.
• Hide that a placement is sponsored.
• Rank a worse tool above a better one because of commission rates.
• Write fake reviews, fake testimonials, or invented quotes.
• Pretend to have tested a tool we haven't.

Reporting concerns

If you believe a recommendation on LN Cash is wrong, misleading, or biased toward a paid partner, email hello@ln.cash. We take this seriously and will publicly correct anything we got wrong.

Compliance positioning

LN Cash is an informational and educational publication. We do not:

• Hold customer funds.
• Route Lightning payments.
• Charge transaction fees.
• Operate as a payment processor or exchange.
• Provide financial, tax, or legal advice.

Any tool listed on this site is operated by a third party. Their terms of service, fees, custody behavior, and country availability are theirs to define and modify. Verify with the provider directly before relying on any tool for production use.
