How LN Cash collects and uses data — kept short, kept honest.
LN Cash collects as little personal data as we can while still operating a useful website. This page is the full, plain-language summary.
What we collect
Analytics
If analytics are enabled in our deployment, we use Plausible Analytics — a privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics provider. Plausible records:
- The URL you visited.
- The referrer that brought you here.
- Approximate country (derived from your IP, then discarded).
- Browser and device type.
Plausible does not use cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not retain raw IP addresses. We use this data to understand which pages are useful — not to identify visitors.
Newsletter
If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address through a third-party provider (Buttondown or Beehiiv, depending on deployment). We use the email to send you the content you signed up for. We do not sell it, share it with affiliates, or use it for purposes other than the newsletter.
Affiliate clicks
When you click an affiliate link (any URL starting with /go/), we may log the
click for our own reporting. We do not associate that click with you personally. We do not
place tracking cookies. The destination provider may set its own cookies in line with its
own privacy policy — that is between you and them.
What we don't collect
- No accounts, no passwords.
- No third-party trackers (Facebook pixel, Google Analytics, ad networks).
- No fingerprinting.
- No personalized advertising.
- No reselling or sharing of email data.
Your rights
If you are in the EU or another jurisdiction with similar rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, LGPD), you can email hello@ln.cash to:
- Ask what data we hold about you.
- Request deletion.
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter (also available via every email's footer).
Updates to this policy
If we change this policy materially, we will note the change at the top of the page and update the modified date below.
